Product Overview & Application Area
The GEMA FK 1000 hygienic storage tank with stainless steel corrugated pipe is a fresh water combination storage tank from the FK series for closed heating systems and hygienic domestic hot water heating using the instantaneous heating principle. With a net capacity of 889 liters, it belongs to the 1,000-liter class and is suitable for heating systems in which heating water is stored and domestic hot water is heated on demand via an integrated stainless steel corrugated pipe.
The storage tank can be integrated into suitable heating, solar thermal or heat pump systems, provided that the design, hydraulics, safety equipment and operating limits are compatible with the respective system concept.
Technology & Equipment
The FK 1000 stores heating water in the storage tank. Domestic hot water heating takes place separately via the integrated stainless steel corrugated pipe, so that the domestic hot water is not permanently held as a large storage volume. This combines the function of a heating buffer tank with hygienic fresh water preparation.
Three insulation variants are available for the FK 1000: 100 mm EPS with energy efficiency class C, 130 mm EPS with energy efficiency class B, and 150 mm EPS vacuum with energy efficiency class A. The choice of insulation affects the outer diameter, energy class and standby heat loss of the respective version.
Everyday Benefits
The large storage capacity supports stable system hydraulics and helps to temporarily store heat from the heating system as needed. Domestic hot water heating via the stainless steel corrugated pipe is particularly interesting for systems in which hot water is to be provided hygienically using the instantaneous heating principle.
By selecting different insulation variants, the storage tank can be adapted to the requirements of the installation location and the desired energy efficiency class. The vertical design and clearly defined connection positions facilitate integration into technically well-planned heating systems.
System Integration & Compatibility
The hygienic storage tank FK 1000 is intended for closed heating systems and can be combined with suitable heat generators, solar thermal components, or heat pump systems. For system planning, the storage tank size, connection configuration, operating pressure, operating temperature, safety valves, expansion vessel, and control technology must be appropriately designed.
Two connections with 1 1/2" female thread are available for electric heating cartridges. These connections are to be used exclusively on the designated nozzles.

Assembly
The tank must be installed standing upright, frost-proof, and on a load-bearing surface. For installation, the tilting dimension without insulation of 2,080 mm must be taken into account. In tight installation paths, the insulation can be fitted after positioning the tank.
Hydraulic connection, filling, and commissioning must be carried out by qualified personnel. The charging and discharging connections, sensor positions, venting, safety valves, and expansion vessel must be executed in accordance with the system design.
Notes
The tank may only be operated within the specified operating limits. The operating mode is determined by the heat generator, pumps, mixers, solar controller, or system controller.
Before maintenance work, the system must be allowed to cool down and be depressurized. Connections, insulation, venting devices, and visible components should be checked regularly as part of system maintenance.
